What the Scriptures mean to me

To me the Bible is something we should base our whole lives around because God wrote it to apply to everything. It says in Second Timothy 3:16-17 that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Therefore I believe that the Bible is written, firstly to tell us how to worship: "Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name" (Psalm 100:1-2,4).
I believe it tells us how to worship, and also tells us why to worship: "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever" (Psalm 100:5).
I believe that the Bible is God's way of telling us how to live. It tells us about sin and the positive or negative results of sinning or not sinning. "For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). And it Shows Our Sin, "All have sinned..." (Roman 3:23).
The Bible is a book from which we are to learn a lot. In it we can learn from the mistakes of others as well as from the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We can also learn about the beginning of the world - beginning of Life - beginning of sin. The Bible explains how everything came into being: -- "And God said, 'Let there be...'" (Genesis 1:3).
The Bible tells me of my God. "God is spirit" (John 4:24) "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty" (Revelation 4:8) "Great is our Lord and mighty in power" (Psalms 147).
The Bible tells of the faith I am confirming, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" (Hebrews 11:1). The Bible also tells the reasons of my confirmation. Jesus said in Matthew 10:32, "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven."
The Bible tells me a lot about relationships.
-With Government -- What to do - "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities" -- Why to do so - "For there is no authority except that which God has established" (Romans 13:1).
-With one another -- "Do to others as you would have them do to you"
-With enemies -- "Love you enemies, do good to those who hate you" (Luke 6:27).
-With the unbelieving world -- "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28).
-With Satan -- "Resist him, standing firm in the faith" (1 Peter 5:9).
The Bible speaks of what we are to do while we are here on earth --"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31).
But, most importantly, the Bible reveals my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the way to salvation in him which he earned for me on the cross: "The gift of God is Eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
This is what the Scriptures mean to me.
